Open Junior High School: Curriculum Model, Syllabus, and Learning Implementation Plan

Open Junior High School was a program that started by Educational and Culture Department (now Educational Department) at year 1979-1980 as effort to give educational service to elementary school graduate. Children at 13-15 age or maximal 18age that can participate at regular Junior High School-because poor economic condition, transportation facility difficulties, severe geographical condition or time condition-cam join Open Junior High School. Open Junior High School is a subsystem of formal education lines that using stand-alone learning principle, namely learning with minimal help from other people. Openness mean that time and place of learning is flexible appropriated with student condition. This learning service is also as a part of Indonesian 9 year's elementary school education obligatory program. There's four mission of Open Junior High School: 1. Perform stand-alone learning activity in order to every student can develop with optimal as their potential, 2. Elevating achievement spirit intensively to every member of learning program, 3. Developing religious values to enhance its understanding and implementation at society, nation, and state life.4. Built active cooperation with community at learning program management.
